1. Purchasing a watch with a heart rate monitor feature needs to be easily adjustable and comfortable. It should
be a simple process to change the battery manually, which is what the Polar RS300X SD heart rate monitor watch
provides. Yes the instructions can be a bit difficult for anyone, but after practicing them a few times around it
will be much easier. Just take the time to read over all the different features and eventually the process will
become natural. I've had issues over the years with heart rate misreads like my HRM jumping to 200 beats a minute.
Then of course it has read "0" while doing a strenuous cardio workout. However, when you use the Polar RS300X SD
heart rate monitor watch it only takes a little cleaning. Just put the wearlink under your faucet, dry it off with
a towel and you will find that it works every single time. While this is true; it's not recommended that you put it
in a washing machine.
2. If you look at other Polar models out there the RS300X has a lot more style. It's a simple programming
approach, is very readable, and even easier to operate and test activity levels. When I was around the Cardio
Nurses they absolutely adored it. After all, I need mine for my Heart Re-hab lab workouts.
3. It's been over a month since I purchased the Polar RS300X SD heart rate monitor watch and there haven't been
any problems at all. You can navigate through the screens and the design is very ergonomical. I can enjoy plenty of
meaning and perspective from each workout, and it can be casually worn as well.
4. If you want to be a little picky then the design of the strap would be my only issue. The question isn't
whether or not it's going to snap or tear along the stretched weak point, but when it's going to happen. I haven't
seen it yet, but I do know that Polar offers replacement straps. Since I wear mine everyday I hope the quality of
the plastic composite its made from is strong enough to handle the wear and tear.
5. I used to own a Polar S210 HRM, but after 10 years of use it started wearing down. The Polar RS300X SD heart
rate monitor watch has a lot of the same functions as the S210 which includes; workout programming, time base,
heart rate intervals, and an Ownindex fitness test. The latter is used to compute VO2 Max. There are also plenty of
improvements as well. Whether its the wearlink chest strap that offers better contact or how comfortable it is; I
can't stress enough how much more you will enjoy this option. I use mine for the elliptical trainer and road bike
sessions. The replaceable battery is another benefit, as well as the additional programs available. There are also
some that I haven't even tried yet. In order to download and track my workouts I purchased the Polar Flowlink. I'm
downloading my first month of workouts right now and it's really easy. In the end, my only other complaint is that
the band and case are all one piece. The S210 band eventually broke, but it was easily replaceable. Even though
I've only had this a month its possible I will run into the same problem 10 years from now. I imagine it will be
easily replaceable as well.
